Fluctus combines Finnish handicraft, quality materials, and usage-focused design. We create lasting style and products that look like their user, using traditional techniques.

    Fluctus leather goods are handmade in Finland using traditional methods. We pay attention to quality and detail instead of speed.

    We select our leathers from some of the best tanneries in the world, and source mainly from Europe. Quality leather ensures durability and maintainability for a long time.

    Fluctus products are designed for use. Each product is based on a real need encountered by customers or us. Usability and durability are at the core of our designs.

Fluctus was born out of interest in leather as a material, and in the special methods of working on it. Although many leather products could be made quite similarly of other materials, leather offers a unique durability and feel that's difficult to replicate, even with the best of substitutes.

Another major factor was the desire to create “things you can’t buy at the store”, whether through unique material choices or designs born out of need. There are nearly endless variations of leather, in basically any color, which made the limited color and design options available elsewhere feel dull.

Fluctus is, at its core, one man’s creative vision that strives for quality, usability, and lasting unique style. Although our HQ has throughout the years moved from its birthplace of Kauniainen to Turku, what matters most is that Fluctus is now and in the future a proud product of Finnish handicraft.
